Sandra is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Windsor and an Honours Specialization in Health Science (BHSc) from Western University. Sandra has over 10 years of experience providing case management and counselling in the area of acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and mental health and addiction symptoms.
Sandra joined Abilities Rehabilitation Services in 2016 and brings a variety of clinical and medical social work experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Sandra provides therapeutic interventions and crisis management to assist her clients to adjust to injury, cope with loss and grief and assist individuals and families develop the necessary tools and skills required to face challenges living with their symptoms.
Sandra draws from a broad range of modalities including solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and mindfulness to support her clients.
