Our Occupational Therapists are registered health professionals. Their training enables them to understand the medical, physical, and emotional limitations of a disability or injury, as well as the factors that affect an individual’s ability to function independently. Their approach is concerned with promoting a person’s health and well-being through their engagement in everyday life. They assist an individual’s rehabilitation by maximizing their independence and autonomy in the various functions of their lives. Occupational therapy uses activities in the areas of productivity at home or work, self-care and leisure hobbies or sports.

Our occupational therapist’s goals are to assist our clients whose injuries or illnesses have interfered with their ability to function and enable them to participate in meaningful activities. We seek to prevent or minimize an individual’s issues by addressing the physical, psychosocial, cognitive and spiritual aspects of their life and how they interact with their environment.
