Attendant Care Needs Assessment

The attendant care needs assessment is a detailed evaluation of the client’s personal care needs. The determined requirements are based on routine personal care, basic supervisory care, and complex health care functions. It is designed to determine the complexity and quantity of assistance that the client will require with personal care to be able to operate safely and effectively in their environment.

The assessment helps identify the routine tasks that the client would perform daily for their personal care, such as feeding, grooming, dressing, or primary supervisory care tasks related to personal hygiene tasks, or even more complex tasks involving exercise, skin care, and medication administration.
