Zsofia Zoltan

Zsofia brings over 25 years of occupational therapy experience having worked in a variety of settings in the United Kingdom and Ontario. Prior to joining Abilities, she worked in her own private practice for 8 years.

She has extensive experience with a variety of client populations presenting with neurological and mental health impairments (including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, anxiety, depression, and PTSD), both in inpatient and community settings.

Her clinical experience includes assessment and treatment of children and adults (including cognitive, visual perceptual, upper extremity, and psycho-emotional / psychosocial aspects to assessment and treatment) as well as functional assessment and intervention in the home and community.

In her current practice, Zsofia completes comprehensive occupational therapy functional status assessments within the auto insurance sector, WSIB, and Veteran Affairs Canada. She designs individualized cognitive and cognitive-behavioral programming, psychosocial rehabilitation, and ‘Return to Function’ programs for clients with brain injury, spinal cord injury, chronic pain, orthopedic injuries, and various mental health diagnoses such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

Zsofia has additional training in brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation, pain management, and cognitive behavioral treatment approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Behavioral Activation, and mindfulness-based treatment modalities. She is trained in neuro-developmental treatment, and Normal Movement Approach (Bobath).

Zsofia performs seating and mobility assessments, and ergonomic workstation evaluations, and provides recommendations and education to enhance health and productivity in the workplace. She brings over ten years of experience in the assessment of home and workplace accessibility and home modification.
