Véronique Bouchard

Véronique Bouchard is Metis and is bilingual in both official languages. She holds a master’s degree in social work from Laurentian University. She is a member in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and is a longstanding member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Veronique has over 19 years of clinical experience in the role of social worker across a variety of settings including homecare and community agencies, schools, inpatient and outpatient hospital programs, and private practice. Veronique has a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals, families, and caregivers in providing intervention to aid clients dealing with depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, acquired brain injury, mental health, domestic violence, sexual abuse, self-harm behavior, grief and loss, chronic pain, anger and stress management, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder, substance use, couple and interpersonal issues.

Veronique provides psycho-social assessments, therapeutic interventions, and crisis management to assist individuals and families to use tools and develop skills to empower them to face their challenges, achieving optimum recovery and quality of life. Veronique utilizes a variety of techniques and skills from an evidence-based approach drawing upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational and Interviewing, Resilience Based Therapy Techniques, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Care and Practice, Psycho-Educational Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Focused Approach, Gottman Method of Relationship Therapy, Go-Zen Program for children, Brain Injury Family Education Program, Mindfulness, and other Relaxation Practices.

Véronique is registered with HCAI, Blue Cross, and NIHB. Her geographic area includes Greater Sudbury and other surrounding areas.
