Tracy Leung

Tracy Leung, MSc(OT), OT. Reg. (Ont.) graduated with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University in 2010. She also possesses a Combined Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from McMaster University. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).

She has been practising as an occupational therapist since 2010 and has a wide breadth of experience working with people of all ages to assess and address issues with daily functioning in their communities, homes, and workplaces. Her professional experience includes working with persons with physical disability, chronic pain, mental illness, cognitive changes, and developmental disability. More recently, she developed an interest in brain injury and concussion care, post-traumatic stress disorder work, and return-to-work and vocational rehabilitation. She has a passion for working in rural and under-serviced areas and for providing person-centred and culturally-informed and appropriate care. Her approach is collaborative and strength-focused. Her favourite part of being an occupational therapist is hearing people’s stories, their goals and aspirations, and helping them to feel fulfilled and balanced.

Originally from Toronto, she followed her heart North. Her travels have brought her as far north as Iqaluit, Nunavut, where she worked as an occupational therapist, saw the tundra and dancing northern lights, and learned much from Inuit communities. She now calls Sudbury home.

Outside of work, Tracy enjoys hiking and paddling and learning new hobbies/skills.
