Sherry McQuillan

Sherry McQuillan, MSc. (OT), OT Reg. (Ont.) graduated with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Laurentian University (2008). She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and is also a member in good standing with the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT). Sherry has experience in assessment and treatment of various acquired injuries and illnesses, including acquired brain injury and orthopaedic injuries of both catastrophic and non-catastrophic nature. Her professional experience includes working with clients of all ages to address challenges related to their functional abilities in the home, community and workplace. She has been working extensively with clients with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex orthopaedic injuries and mental health concerns. Sherry continues to engage in professional development through in-services, conferences, and literature review and is a certified Progressive Goal Attainment Program Provider (PGAP), as well as having received training for the Brain Injury Family Intervention Protocol (BIFI). She has also completed several training courses through the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA), including the Children and Youth with Acquired Brain Injury program. Sherry maintains a very client-centred approach to her practice with a focus on improving quality of life. She is the mother of two young boys, which has strengthened her ability to relate to families and the impact of injuries not only on the individual, but on the family unit as well. Outside of her formal education, it is her compassion for others and creativity that enhance her ability to assist clients in achieving their goals.
